Today’s Tip: Apple Cider Vinegar Uses Part II

Standard

Raw, organic apple cider vinegar (like Bragg’s) is great for minor cuts as well as itchy skin, hives, poison oak, poison ivy….

Cuts/Abrasions: Simply swab affected area with a raw ACV-soaked cotton ball once every day.  Press down with cotton ball until bleeding stops. ACV is a great blood clotter.

Dry/Itchy Skin: Make a paste of cornstarch and ACV for treatment for itchy skin and hives. As the paste dries it will draw the itching out of your skin!

Poison Ivy/Poison Oak: Mix equal parts raw apple cider vinegar and distilled water and spray on affected areas. Keep spray bottle in the fridge as cool spray is even more soothing!

Apple Cider Vinegar Uses Part I

Standard

Like lemon, Apple Cider Vinegar has about 100 different uses, all of which will make you healthier and happier. Today’s use for Apple Cider Vinegar involves treating unsightly varicose veins….

Be SURE you are buying Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar which contains “the mother”, meaning you are purchasing raw, organic ACV. The stuff you find on grocer’s shelves IS NOT raw and organic and pretty much a waste of your time and money!acv

Now, on to treating varicose veins with ACV:

Wrap a cloth dampened with ACV around veins.

Elevate legs, leave on for at least 15 minutes.

Do this in the morning and at nighttime to reduce veins.

You can find ACV at any health food store or GNC  in the city, including Natural Goodness Market And Cafe on 20th and Walnut in Rittenhouse Square.
